RIHANNA FINE AFTER HOSPITAL STAY
a brief hospitalization Monday night in Zurich, Switzerland.
After performing in concert, the 22-year-old singer was taken to a private clinic because she had an injured rib.
RiRi "went to have it looked at to be sure it was nothing serious, and it wasn't," her rep said. "All is OK and the tour is going great."
The singer continued the European leg of her "Last Girl on Earth" tour Tuesday night with a show in Lyon, France. She is also expected to perform Wednesday in Marseille.
GV Says: How did she injury her rib???? Can't say that's something that happens in the normal course of life. (giving this story the side-eye)
T.I. IS BACK!
The rapper - who spent seven months behind bars on weapons charges - partied with a hefty entourage at 1Oak.
"He got behind the deejay booth with DJ Sal Morale and yelled, 'I'm king, and I'm back!'" says a club spy. "The deejay then played T.I.'s song 'I'm Back,' and the crowd went wild."

NO CHARGES IN JEWELL MURDER
The Fulton County prosecutor’s office in Atlanta dropped charges of voluntary manslaughter against the alleged killer of Kandi Burruss’ ex fiancĂ©, A.J. Jewell.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office ruled that Jewell died as a result of a sickle cell crises and not the injuries sustained in a fight with Frederick Richardson, the manager of the strip club Body Tap in Atlanta.
Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard said the decision to prosecute or drop the charges was delayed because Jewell’s family disputed the original autopsy findings.
“Following the initial announcement from the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office that Mr. Jewell’s death resulted from a sickle cell crisis, the family of the deceased expressed grave concern regarding the accuracy of the autopsy findings,” DA spokesperson Yvette Brown read in a statement. ““For that reason, our office enlisted the service of two additional medical experts who specialize in the area of sickle cell diagnosis and treatment.” Brown’s statement said the other medical experts concurred with the initial autopsy findings that Ashley Jewell died as a result of a sickle cell crisis.”
Jewell’s family remains irate at Burruss, whom they blame for prejudicing the case to prosecute Richardson when she went on the “Housewives”‘ reunion show and hinted that Jewell passed away from complications from sickle cell anemia.
MARIAH & NICK MARRYING AGAIN
"We get married every year! That's our thing," Cannon explained at Monday's PepsiCo Feed America Volunteer Day event in NYC.
"So it's going to be our third wedding this year. That's what we'll be doing on the actual [anniversary]...We'll do something...A party or event, just to celebrate."
The Grammy-winning singer is definitely getting more bling from her spouse. Cannon confirmed to Us that he'll be getting his wife another diamond ring for the occasion. "That’s totally right," he said. "This is the third ring I have to buy...It’ll be something different. Something good."
GV Says: This is slightly excessive....they need something to do.Tuesday, April 20, 2010
DIDDY'S M2 IN HOT WATER
undercover officers caught staffers selling marijuana and narcotics, and that several security guards were unlicensed.
The drama began Friday night at 11, when the exclusive W. 28th St. venue was served papers, causing personnel to close its velvet rope to a number of music industry bigwigs who were attending Cash Money Baby's birthday party.
"Having their doors closed hit the venue and its reputation hard, especially on a night they were hosting a private event," says a nightlife insider. "M2 makes a good deal of money every weekend, and losing a Friday and Saturday night is a major strain on the club's revenue."
The drug allegations aren't the club's only problems. The hot spot has been fighting with the city's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene over the alleged smoking violations since early this year.
Lawyers met with the NYPD yesterday in the hope of coming to an agreement but, unfortunately for New York night crawlers, none was reached. The M2 team turned down an offer to keep the venue open for private events this week - including a Go Magazine party hosted by Michelle Rodriguez tonight and a NFL draft party slated to be thrown by Deion Sanders on Thursday - because the compromise included a clause that said the venue would shut down again this coming weekend.
The lawyers go before a judge today to fight for the doors of the Chelsea club to reopen for good.
A rep says: "There are no convictions of any kind against M2, only allegations."

MO'NIQUE'S BROTHER APOLOGIZES
"I'm sorry, Mo'Nique. I'm sorry," Imes said Monday on The Oprah Winfrey Show. "I betrayed everybody's trust. I broke that trust. I broke that bond." Mo'Nique declined to be involved in Imes's interview or respond to his apology.
Imes blamed the sexual abuse, which happened over a period of two years mostly while Imes believed Mo'Nique was sleeping, on the fact that he too had been molested and was masking his pain with drugs.
"I started using cocaine, heroin, alcohol at the age of 11," he told Winfrey. "I used these drugs to hide my own pain, to hide my own fears ... The drugs allowed me and afforded me the opportunity to hurt my sister."
He said he hid the shame he felt at having been sexually abused himself and took it out on his sister, who is now 42.
Imes was later sentenced to 12 years in prison for molesting another girl. But now he wants to repair his relationship with his sister and move forward.
"I can only hope by coming forth today ... that somewhere down the line … we can come back together as siblings," he said. "I understand your pain. I truly think, let's share this together and move on."
HOV FILES SUIT
Jay-Z has a case of jacking on his hands. But this time it involves the 40/40 club. Boston Red Sox player David Ortiz got the bright idea to open his own club in the Dominican Republic with the same name. But it's written as The Fourty Fourty club.
The lawsuit, filed Thursday in Manhattan federal court, accuses Ortiz of naming his Santo Domingo club Forty-Forty in the hopes of trading in on the rap star's fame. The suit seeks over $5 million in damages and for Ortiz to forfeit any use of the 40/40 name. Jay-Z's string of bars can be found in Manhattan, Las Vegas and Atlantic City.
And if you thought David just didn't know about Jay's 40/40 for some reason, he knows it very well. Even partied there on several occasions:
"David Ortiz is fully aware of Plaintiff's Manhattan 40/40 club, since he had been a patron there on several occasions before he opened his Infringing Forty/Forty club," the lawsuit states.
RIHANNA SUPPORTS HER MAN
Rihanna had her hands in the air – and plenty of friends with her – to cheer on boyfriend Matt Kemp during the L.A. Dodgers' opening day at Dodger Stadium. The singer, sporting a team hoodie, arrived in a party bus an hour before game time, then took her VIP seat in the Dugout Club before Kemp received the Silver Slugger and Gold Glove awards. And when Kemp hit a homerun – woot! – Rihanna was dancing like his biggest fan.

SHAUNIE CLAIMS DEATH THREATS
Days after Shaquille O'Neal warned his ex-wife not to mention him on her VH1 show, she is slamming the basketball star anyway.
In a document obtained by TMZ, Shaunie O'Neal claims her ex-husband told their six-year-old son to deliver death threats to her new boyfriend.
Shaunie's lawyers sent a letter to Shaq's legal team claiming the NBA legend told his son Shaqir to tell mom's boyfriend that dad was going to kill him.
"Say it now! My daddy is going to kill you!," he told the scared child, according to the letter.
The documents also claim that the basketball star "interrogated" the couple's children about mom's new man.
Shaunie's legal team is demanding that her ex-husband no longer undertake "inappropriate discussions" with their brood.
On Wednesday, Shaq's lawyers sent a latter to VH1 demanding that the network no longer air "Basketball Wives" episodes that make reference to him.
His ex-wife, who is an executive producer on the show, reportedly signed a confidentially agreement barring her from discussing their relationship on the show.
The O'Neals were married in December 2002 and have four children together.
In September 2007, Shaq filed for divorce, but the duo later reconcile. Two years later, in November 2009, Shaunie filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.

GARCELLE GETS EVEN
The 43-year-old actress went on the offensive with accusations of infidelity against her husband, e-mailing an angry note this week to some of his colleagues including those at Creative Artists Agency, where Michael Nilon works as an agent.
In the e-mail, which, according to the New York Post, had the subject line "Tiger Woods/Jesse James/Mike Nilon," the actress wrote: "What do they have in common ... I found out today that MY husband of almost 9 yrs has been having an affair for 5 yrs with some slut in Chicago. I am devastated!!!! And I have been duped!! Our boys don't deserve this!"
The actress was more measured in her statement to PEOPLE, saying, "My focus at this time is on my kids and healing the pain. There will be no further comment.”
The two, who wed in Los Angeles in May 2001, have 2-year-old twin boys Jax and Jaid.
GV Says: Finally, a woman who's not a puppet and a slave to the dollars. Not that the email was tasteful, but it's refreshing to see someone fight back.
JAHEIM ARRESTED
Jaheim Hoagland, 32, of Hillsborough was pulled over near Royce Brook Golf Course on March 28 for allegedly traveling 65 mph in a 35 mph zone and was then charged with possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle. Hillsborough Police reported that they could smell a strong odor of raw marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Hoagland gave police consent to search his vehicle after yelling at authorities, police said. During the search, Hillsborough Police allegedly noticed a small bud of marijuana underneath the driver’s seat. Police said they also observed several cigar wrappers, cigar shaving and cigar paper, which is consistent with marijuana use. Hoagland was also charged with speeding.

BRANDY & FLO RIDA? BRAN TALKS
"I've seen the photos of me and Flo Rida," Brandy writes on her Vibe.com blog.
"I don't want to say that we're a couple. I can definitely say that he's somebody in my life and I'm definitely interested but I'm not serious with anybody. I'm a little bit afraid to give my heart away right now. It's very scary."
One reason the singer's so cautious about anything romantic? Her 7½-year-old daughter, Sy'rai.
"My daughter hasn't seen me with anybody in five years," she writes. "I'm very, very selective when it comes to that because I want to make sure that it's real. I don't want her to see me with just anybody because she means everything to me."
But Brandy and Flo Rida weren't hiding any affection as they cuddled up at her 31st birthday bash in February in South Beach. The rap star cheered her on as she blew out her candles and the two were spotted holding hands and getting "snuggly" later in the evening.
So, what is she looking for in a potential beau?
"You have to be a strong guy to be in a committed relationship," Brandy writes. "If you're not ready for that, then don't tell me that you are. Be honest with a girl ... Don't tell somebody they're your girlfriend and then you go out and act like you don't have a girlfriend. That's not right."

WYCLEF DRAMA
Two women rumored to be linked romantically with Wyclef Jean are fighting back.
The hip-hop star's former manager, Lisa Ellis, has told the FBI and the Department of Justice that she believes someone at Sony Music illegally disseminated a nude photo of her.
We told you last month that the photo in question caused Wyclef some trouble at home when his wife, Marie Claudinette, found it on his cell phone. According to sources, Claudinette flew into a jealous rage and demanded that her husband fire Ellis.
Ellis insisted her relationship with the former Fugees singer has always been strictly professional. She also maintained that she resigned - because, according to a friend, Wyclef "wasn't listening to her advice."
Ellis looks great in the black-and-white portrait, taken by photographer Mark Baptiste for an art book he's planning, but she's furious that someone e-mailed it around the music industry.
"It's a cybercrime," she tells us. "It's a felony. It's a stolen copyrighted [image]."
Ellis suspects that the shot was leaked by a person or persons at Sony Music, where she used to be an executive vice president.
"I don't have the photo myself," she says. "Mark did not send the photo out. I am being attacked for no reason."
A Sony Music rep declined to comment.
Ellis is also shooting down a rumor that, back when they were talking, Wyclef gave her a horse.
"I got my horses on my own," says the life-long equestrian. "This fantasy drama is [bleeping] b—s—."
Meanwhile, Zakiya Khatou-Chevassus, the vice president of Clef's Yele Haiti Foundation, is knocking down allegations that the charity paid her a disproportionate salary because she was his "mistress."
A tax declaration obtained by TheSmokingGun.com reported that Khatou-Chevassus received $105,000 in 2008. Gawker.com quoted a source who said Khatou-Chevassus' pay was three times more than that of program director Suzie Sylvain, who was "actually keeping the organization running."
According to Gawker, five sources claimed Clef was "involved romantically" with Khatou-Chevassus.
Brushing off the report, the Grammy winner tweeted: "Donkeys spread rumors about me I dont Respond cause I'm the master that leads them to the Well to drink the Water."
A Yele Haiti spokesperson declined to discuss whether or not Wyclef and Zakiya indeed had a thing, but insisted that her salary was justified, especially since Sylvain reported to her.
"We need to stop talking about Zakiya other than to praise her managerial skills," said the rep for the charity, which reports raising $9,139,324 for relief activities since Haiti's January earthquake. "She is immensely proud of her professional collaboration with Wyclef Jean, and with members of his family, including his wife, Claudinette. Let's get back to work."

ERYKAH FINED
The NY Daily News reports that Erykah Badu will have to strip her wallet of $500 after stripping naked in a public square.
Dallas police charged Erykah with disorderly conduct - which carries a $500 fine - after she embarked on a public striptease for her latest music video, "Window Seat," on March 17.
Badu took all of her clothes off in the middle of the day in Dealey Plaza, where JFK was assassinated in 1963. In the video, she can be seen walking through the square removing her t-shirt and pants followed by her underwear, while curious passers-by look on. The singer then falls to the ground to the sound of a gunshot.
The Dallas native and mother of three has defended her actions saying that the events have been misconstrued.
“My point was grossly misunderstood all over America,” she said Saturday on "The Wanda Sykes Show."
She denied intending any insult to the memory of John F. Kennedy, who was assassinated in Dealey Plaza.
“John F Kennedy was a revolutionary; he was not afraid to butt heads with America, and I was not afraid to show America my butt-naked truth,” she told the comedienne.
Sykes quipped that Badu “wasn’t afraid to show her badus” in public, and showed the singer a parody of the video in which she tripped on the sidewalk while trying to disrobe.
Meanwhile, a Dallas police spokesman said they have received calls from people across the country complaining about Badu's behavior.
"After much discussion we feel that these charges best fit her conduct when she disrobed in a public place without disregard to individuals and small children who were close by," the spokesman said.
"She can pay the fine, send it in and then the issue will be resolved."

MINORITY REPORT: MOVERS HIT SANDRA'S HOUSE
X17 reports that an L.A. Delivery Service truck sat outside the house for about an hour early Friday evening. Movers loaded a couch, a love seat and numerous boxes onto the truck. A man and a woman in a separate car also arrived around the same time to pick up additional items. Update: On Saturday, TMZ photographed Jesse James' mother Carol and daughter Sunny carrying boxes out of the house.
Sandara reportedly remains in hiding at her Hollywood Hills home after briefly emerging on Wednesday.
GV Says: Go girl. Jesse was on some foolishness.
USHER OFFERS ADVICE
“Having kids man, don’t wear white. Have you ever had an explosion?” the singer asked George Lopez on Lopez Tonight Thursday. “Changing the diaper, obviously when they gotta go they gotta go.”
Usher has two sons - Usher ‘Cinco’ Raymond V, 2 ½, and Naviyd Ely, 15 months.
“I just decided, if anybody is going to [poop] on me it would be my kids,” he says. “That is real love, man. It’s like, ‘How do you produce this much doodoo?’”
But fatherhood is much more than dirty diapers and juice stains, Usher, 31, points out. “One of the most incredible experiences in life is to be able to put all of your energy and effort into making sure that you raise an incredible young man."
“I have two young boys that I love very much and I just want them to be the most incredible young men that they can be.”
