NICOLE RICHIE REVEALS SHE'S PREGNANT

Nicole Richie finally fesses up to ABC News' Diane Sawyer...Yes, she is pregnant. Richie revealed the worst kept secret in a new interview airing on Good Morning America Thursday and on 20/20 Friday.



Richie, 25, confirms that the baby's father is boyfriend Joel Madden, 28, whom she's been dating since earlier this year. In excerpts provided by ABC, Richie also opens up about her actions on the night of her Dec. 11 DUI arrest, and why members of young Hollywood are suddenly finding themselves in so much trouble with the law.

As for her guilty plea in the DUI case last Friday, Richie tells Sawyer: "I have a responsibility and it's something that I did wrong, and if I could personally apologize to every single person that has lost a loved one from drunk driving I would. And unfortunately I can't, but this is my way of paying my dues and taking responsibility and being an adult."

Richie was sentenced to four days in jail. She also agreed to serve a three-year probation term, must enroll in an alcohol education program, and pay a fine of $2,048.

Could Nicole be growing up? Lets hope.....On an unrelated note, girlfriend has been looking fab lately.

LIL KIM SUPPORTS LINDSAY

So it looks like Lil Kim supports Lindsay Lohan. The Queen Bee was spotted here holding up a "Leave Lindsay A Lohan" tee. She told sources she could relate since she did spend 10 months in the slammer herself.

USHER & TAMEKA STILL TOGETHER

Okay….I must post these stories because I’m simply AMAZED by the foolishness. It’s like the Being Bobby Brown show. I simply can’t look away. I can't believe how low Usher will go. It's like a train wreck is happening and you can't save the person. Okay…here’s the low-down:

Usher told Usmagazine.com that it's only a matter of time before they walk down the aisle. "As of right now we don't have a date but we will let you know when we do."

Despite rumors of bad blood, a close Usher source revealed that the wedding was postponed because the four-months pregnant Foster was admitted to St. Vincent's Medical Center in New York City after suffering cramping. But upon examination, says the source, "she learned it was just uneasiness brought on by the stress of the wedding."

"Everbody's fine. Tameka and the baby are fine," Usher himself told Usmagazine.com on July 31, after the couple arrived via private plane in NYC.

Foster chimed: "We're good. We're all doing great now."

"There will be a second wedding ceremony," the pal tells Us. "This is just a postponement. They are very much in love."

Just a couple of questions: Where are her three kids?, After settling down for the first time in his 26 year-old life is Usher ready to be a father to four kids? At 26 I wasn't and I find it hard to believe that somone who just learned how to spell monogamy does.

STAR JONES ADMITS TO BYPASS SURGERY

Star Jones Reynolds has finally admitted what we all knew – that she had gastric bypass surgery. I mean what else would explain her lollipop head look.



In the September issue of Glamour, she’s lets it all out. Why the delay in speaking up?

"First, I didn't know if the surgery would work," she writes in the first-person essay. "I had spent my entire adult life telling everyone that I was fine with the way I looked. I never thought I'd have to explain it.

"But the complete truth is, I was scared of what people might think of me."

"I was so angry: How had I allowed myself to get to 307 pounds?" "Even though I claimed to be just fine with my weight, I saw how other women [colleagues] were treated like the girlfriend, while I was treated like the good friend, she writes about her first job with NBC News in 1991.

"To compensate for my insecurities, I spoke louder and ate more." After a close friend intervened, Jones Reynolds says she consulted doctors and went in for a successful gastric bypass operation in 2003. After undergoing her surgery, she maintains that she didn't expect so much public scrutiny.

"The toughest part of the journey has been forgiving myself for not having the self-control I know I should have had, or admitting I needed help," she writes about her counseling. Reader letters while she was still on The View also contributed to her decision.

"Every day I am learning to let go of my insecurities and acknowledge that I don't have all the answers, which is okay," she writes. Though she still struggles with self-image, she writes that being healthy is what counts.

"I'm not saying that in order to be happy, women need to be a certain size, but I am saying that we should all strive to be healthy."

Star Jones....girl prepare to be America's sweetheart. Weight is always a delicate topic and I'm actually glad that girlfriend came clean. I'm a Star fan and I hope her story helps others with the same struggles.

TAMEKA FOSTER SPEAKS OUT

Tameka Foster is finally speaking out about the swirl of rumors surrounding her canceled nuptials to Usher this past Saturday.

"No one knows why we canceled the wedding, but I can tell you that all of the reasons that everyone is speculating and writing about are completely untrue," Foster told reporters at People mag on Monday, but she declined to reveal more about why the nuptials were called off.

Foster, 37, who is now in Atlanta (as is Usher, 28) does address one rumor that spread on local radio stations and blogs – that following Saturday's canceled ceremony, she checked into a local hospital and went into pre-term labor.

"We had a scare," she says. "But, I am fine and the baby is fine."

Dear Tameka, shut up. You were so close to moving up in the world and you had to spoil. Now, I believe you still have at least a toe in the door with Usher. If you keep speaking to people like the media you're going to find that baby toe and the rest of your baggage on the street.

Art for Life is Rush Philanthropic’s primary annual fundraising effort to help thousands of underserved New York City children. This year’s theme “Not So Mellow Yellow,” will introduce the fabulous “Yellow Wardrobe” for the luxury auction. MINORITY REPORT: NICOLE RICHIE

Nicole Richie pleaded guilty to DUI and was sentenced to four days in jail on Friday in a Glendale, Calif., courthouse. She also agreed to serve a three-year probation term, and must enroll in an alcohol education program. She was also fined $2,048.

During the hearing, Los Angeles County Commissioner Steven Lubell admonished Richie, saying: "Someone could've gotten killed. You need to understand that driving under the influence is extremely dangerous."

Richie was given the option of serving her time in a paid city jail, which is seen as a cushier facility than a county jail. She was given no surrender date, but must complete her jail time before Sept. 28.

Arrested on Dec. 11 after being spotted driving the wrong way on an L.A. freeway, Richie failed a field sobriety test and admitted to police that she'd smoked marijuana and took Vicodin earlier that evening. She was en route from Madden's home at the time.

She was previously convicted of a DUI in June 2003.

USHER WEDDING UPDATE

People magazine reports that the canceled wedding of Usher and Tameka Foster – who is due to have the couple's baby this fall – was the result of the past few bumpy days for the couple.




At issue were family matters and the event itself. "Usher's mother [and former manager, Jonetta Patton, whom he fired in May] is against the wedding. That is one of the main obstacles," according to the source, who also said of the bride, 37, and groom, 28: "They only decided two weeks ago to have a wedding. They wanted to have it take place before the baby bump started showing." But as another source told People: "Usher changed his mind." Usher and Foster also "had a lot of differences about the details. For example, the bride wanted barbeque, [and] he wanted to have [renowned chef] Jean Georges cook," said the source. As a result of the differences, the wedding "was on again off again for the past few days. [Foster] was calling it off because she wasn't getting the things that she wanted. The mother was calling it off. ... Usher was calling it off."

The ceremony was slated to be held at record exec L.A. Reid's mansion in Sagaponack. Among those expected to attend the swanky affair were Jay-Z and Beyoncé and Janet Jackson and her boyfriend, music producer Jermaine Dupri.

According to Life & Style magazine, Usher invited his previously estranged father to the ceremony, along with his godfather, Ben Vereen. Singer Robin Thicke was to perform at the affair, organized by famed wedding planner Diann Valentine and catered by Harlem chef Sylvia.

The multimillion-dollar couple had registered with Crate & Barrel and Williams-Sonoma, asking for items such as $8 asparagus tongs and a $4,000 espresso maker.

One guest called that decision "tacky."

"You'd think that he'd invite people to give to a favorite charity," the source said. "Does he really need another toaster?"

Well.... I couldn't resist people. I looked up Tameka's name at the Crate & Barrel website and sure enough it was there.....TACKY, TACKY. She's not ready. Someone at Usher's status has no business with a wedding registry. That's for people like me.....

EDDIE MURPHY ENGAGED

Eddie Murphy and girlfriend of 10 months Tracey Edmonds are engaged to be marred according to OK! magazine.



The actor proposed to Tracey, ex-wife of singer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, with a “massive” Cartier yellow diamond engagement ring (roughly 8 carats!) on July 25.

Eddie, 46, and Tracey, 40, began dating last October. They plan to tie the knot before the end of the year though no date has been set yet. Eddie has five children with first wife Nicole Mitchell. The marriage ended after 12 years and the divorce was finalized in April last year. He also has a child, Angel Iris Murphy Brown born April 3, with ex-girlfriend Melanie Brown, aka Scary Spice. Tracey has sons from her marriage to Babyface from their 13-year marriage.

USHER CALLS OFF SATURDAY WEDDING

Usher and his fiancee Tameka Foster have called off their wedding, which was scheduled for today.

A statement released by Usher's publicist, Patti Webster, said, "It was announced today that the wedding ceremony for Usher Raymond, IV and Tameka Foster was canceled. No additional information will be given regarding the circumstances of the cancellation, but we hope the privacy of this matter will be respected."

Usher and the much-older Tameka (he's 28, she's 37) are expecting a baby this fall. No word on whether the couple is still engaged or even together.

HUEY BEEFS WITH NELLY

Apparently, Huey ("Pop, Lock & Drop It") is hot with Nelly for not wanting to do a collabo with him. So much so that he has responded with "Down, Down, Baby," a dis track riffing off Nelly's hit "Country Grammar."


"I don't beef with singers. I'm just gonna leave that alone," Huey told MTV News last week when asked about Nelly. "We're in two different categories. He's a singer, I'm a rapper."

Dear Huey, GET A LIFE. So what....Nelly doesn't want to do a song with you. Is that a crime? Since he doesn't even know you that shouldn't be a surprise. Now let me be clear, Nelly isn't the best rapper to grace the earth. But when you sell 10 million copies, call me. You need to stop being a baby and give that man some space (aka stop riding him because you can't get your way) and respect him. Ten million in sales in no easy task and while I personally don't have his albums, I do respect his hustle. You could learn a lot from him.

So now that Scary Spice a.k.a. Mel Brown has officially proven that funny man Eddie Murphy is the father of her new baby girl, she is spilling the beans on her ex boo.

"This was a completely planned pregnancy," Brown, 32, says in an interview that appears on Essence.com. "This wasn't some random, 'Oops I fell over and I'm pregnant.' I don't live my life like that," says Brown. "I'm a responsible parent and have been a responsible single parent since I got divorced" from Jimmy Gulzar, in 1999, after eight months of marriage. Referring to Murphy, she added, "As soon as I had my IUD removed we proceeded to get pregnant. It happened quicker than we expected but it was perfect timing."

Brown says that seeing the Dutch TV clip sparked a variety of reactions. "I laughed because that wasn't the guy that I knew who told me he wanted to have a baby and get married," she says. "I just didn't believe it. When I saw it my heart dropped down to my gut." In the end, though, Brown says she wasn't sure if her and Murphy's lifestyles would have meshed. "There were certain things that went on in his house with his lifestyle that I wasn't prepared to be a part of," she says. "I have a baby with this guy so I have to be somewhat respectful. I'll simply say that there were lifestyle changes that he would have to make if we were going to live together and do it properly." Comparing her life to his, she adds, "I have a house where it's about my kids and me. I don't have people knocking on my door at 3 and 4 in the morning."
