ASHANTI TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM

So Shanti is preparing to release a new album



AJM Records will release 12 never-before-heard recordings from Ashanti on the album "The Vault," due Oct. 14. The collection contains songs penned by Ashanti in 2001 while signed to the label, before AJM's joint venture with Murder Inc/Def Jam in 2002.

On a different note, her latest album The Declaration," has only sold roughly 230,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen Soundscan.
