CELEBS HIT THE COSTUME GALA

So Rihanna made her first major appearance since February last night on the red carpet at the Costume Institute Gala. She was clad in a gender-bender black puff sleeve suit-bow-tie combo by Dolce & Gabbana. Biker chic leather gloves completed the ensemble.

A lot of people had problems with this ensemble but I loved it. I thought that outfit epitomized what the gala was all about. It's not about your everyday wear. It's risk. It's high fashion, avant garde. It's her. She owns this. Loves it!!

Kanye West made an appearance as well looking unusually normal with his "piece" Amber Rose by his side. I didn't care for this safe look. Too predictable. Come on Kanye....I expect more. I thought you were all about fashion. Anywho....he performed at the bash. After Kanye West finished his set, partygoers erupted in cheers when Rihanna – still clad in her power suit – joined the rapper onstage for a duet of his tune, "Say You Will." She then sang her hit, "Live Your Life."

As did Tyra....Didn't even recognize her.

Model turned entrepreneur Iman was there as well.
