In true Hollywood fashion, she broke the news on Twitter (I told y'all you need to get on the Twitter bus). The caption on her TwitPic read, "Cassie started the 'MOVEMENT' I did the 'LA LA REMIX'..lol..who will be next..? feels good to let go!"
She wrote, "Kelis was the first I remember to do it..but Cassie was the most recent. I also jst learned of a designer named Alice Dellal that rocked it."
The former MTV VJ confirmed that the hair that was chopped was donated to Locks of Love, an organization that makes human-hair wigs for children who have undergone chemotherapy.
"It jst hair! GEEZ! LOL YOU DEFINE a person by their heart, not their appearance."
