VICK TEAMS UP WITH NIKE

Looks like Nike is willing to take a chance w/ Vick.



Liz Mullen of the Sports Business Journal broke the surprising news Wednesday that Vick has teamed up again with Nike.

"Mike has had a great relationship with Nike and is excited to be part of the Nike team again," Vick's agent Joel Segal said.

Segal wouldn't discuss the terms, per the agreement between Vick and the shoe company. Vick will wear Nike shoes and apparel.

Nike may have determined that consumers buying their products aren't nearly as hung up with Vick's past as the people writing about him.

MICHAEL VICK FILES FOR BANKRUPTCY

Michael Vick, who's currently serving a 23-month sentence in the Federal pen, filed for Chapter 11 in U.S. Bankruptcy Court Monday.

In the papers, he says he owes between $10 and $50 million to creditors.In the docs, the convicted animal abuser says he hopes he can "rebuild his life on a personal and spiritual level, resurrect his image as a public figure, and resolve matters with the NFL such that he can resume his career."

MICHAEL VICK STILL LIVING THE GOOD LIFE

Don’t cry for Vick….He may have had to sell off his multimillion-dollar digs in Georgia, he just bought a pricey pad in the luxurious Philippe Starck high-rise Icon South Beach.

A Miami neighbor told Page Six: "[Vick] has bought [an] apartment. Since his indictment he hasn't visited, but his brother Marcus, who was released by the Miami Dolphins and has charges of statutory rape pending, has no problem partying it up with the ladies in his brother's pad."


Marcus Vick is being sued by a young woman who claims she had a two-year sexual relationship with him starting when she was 15.

The Vick siblings have plenty of other sports stars to party with. Miami Heat player Duane Wade lives at the Icon, and Shaquille O'Neal, recently separated from his wife, visits a friend there "a lot." Plus, Tara Reid's ex, Wayne Boiche, just bought a penthouse for $7.5 million.
