MTV host Vanessa Minnillo is leaving Total Request Live. "I had my four years there like high school or college," Minnillo, 26, said Tuesday at a benefit for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. "I'm ready for the next chapter – what it is, I have no idea. [But] I don't want to be 48 saying, 'Hey kids, now it's Sean Preston Spears's video.' " The veejay, who recently moved in with boyfriend Nick Lachey, said there are some things she'll miss about her job. "I'm going to miss that daily live factor of anything can happen,"

Rosie O'Donnell is leaving The View in June after only one season, ABC News confirmed Wednesday morning. On Wednesday's show, O'Donnell said departure was simply a matter not being able to come to terms with the network on the length of her contract. "I wanted one year, they wanted three years," she said. "It just didn't work. And that's showbiz..." After the announcement, O'Donnell's nemesis, Donald Trump, weighed in calling her departure from The View "a good move for ABC" and claiming she was fired. O'Donnell's rep, Cindi Berger, told reporters that the ABC offer was declined because of O'Donnell's domestic responsibilities. "In the life of a mother with four kids, three years is a very long time," Berger says.

MINORITY REPORT: JESSICA SIMPSON, NICK LACHEY

Time for a minority report. We've got to stay well-rounded people...

Three weeks after getting cozy in New York over New Year's Eve, Jessica Simpson and John Mayer made another cute-couple appearance in Miami. On Monday, the pair worked out together at the Four Seasons hotel's Sports Club/LA gym, taking a yoga class and then lifting weights according to witnesses. That evening, they arrived hand-in-hand at The Shore Club's Nobu restaurant, where they sat and talked for more than two hours over sushi and bottled water. Simpson, 26, and Mayer, 29, longtime friends who've been linked off and on since the summer, chatted easily, and at a few points she leaned forward and he reached across the table to hold both her hands. Awww....hope that works out for her. She's another one who's smarter than people think.

Meanwhile, Nick Lachey says taking the high road led to him getting through his recent divorce from Simpson. "You have to always have a good perspective and a good attitude and always take the high road. You never want to look back and regret the way you acted." The singer, who split from Jessica Simpson in November 2005, tells PEOPLE: "Certainly I had some tough times in the past year. Hopefully I tried always to take the high road and make the most of the situation."
