Paris Hilton is being held at a treatment center in a downtown Los Angeles jail hours after being ordered her to serve the remainder of her sentence behind bars, L.A. Sheriff Lee Baca confirmed in a press conference Friday afternoon.

During her previous jail time, Hilton had been at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif. Currently, the heiress is in custody in a special section of the Twin Towers Correctional Facility. Sheriff Baca also announced that Hilton's sentence, which was originally 45 days, is now back to a minimum 23-day sentence.
Earlier Friday, Hilton was taken from court screaming and crying after Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer ordered her back to jail. "It's not right!" Hilton, 26, said as deputies approached her in the courtroom. She also called out to her mother in the audience: "Mom!" Kathy Hilton, accompanied by Paris's father Rick, answered: "Honey!" Hilton's screams echoed in the courtroom's internal hallway as she was escorted out.
Hilton got a visit Sunday from sister Nicky and ex-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos, the first family or friends to see the heiress in jail. "She's being strong," Nicky told reporters after the 30-minute visit at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility's medical ward.

PARIS UPDATE
Hotel heiress Paris Hilton was released from prison on Thursday for medical reasons after serving just over three days of a 23-day sentence but she will be confined to her home for 40 days, officials said.

Steve Whitmore of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office said Hilton had been “reassigned” though he declined to give specific information on her medical condition for privacy reasons.
Hilton will have to wear an electronic monitoring device on her ankle to ensure she does not go out for the next 40 days.
“With extensive consultation with medical personnel it was decided this reassignment should be done,” Whitmore told reporters in Los Angeles.

Wonder if it had anything to do with that Herpes condition she has???? You remember when they found that bottle in her personal storage area which was sold to an unknown man when the bill became delinquent for months.

Hilton checked into the facility Sunday night to begin serving a more than three-week sentence for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.
The 26-year-old hotel heiress surrendered to authorities with little fanfare after a surprise appearance earlier that day at the MTV Movie Awards, where she worked the red carpet in a strapless designer gown.
She was held in a special unit where she was spending 23 hours a day in a solitary cell, her lawyer said.
After she checked in, sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said Hilton’s demeanor was helpful.
“She was focused; she was cooperative,” he said.
