WENDY WILLIAMS TO LEAVE RADIO

So Wendy Williams is leaving radio.....

New York, July 22, 2009 — Executives from WBLS and representatives for Wendy Williams today jointly announced Ms. Williams plans to leave her daily radio show at month’s end to dedicate herself full time to THE WENDY WILLIAMS SHOW, a nationally syndicated talker which launched July 13th. Ms. Williams, who has been a fixture on WBLS since 2002, has spent more than two decades on the air winning over fans and was recently nominated as a potential inductee to the National Radio Hall of Fame. Her radio show has consistently rated as one of the highest rated programs on the station.

“We are saddened to lose one of our most popular personalities,” noted Deon Levingston, Vice President and General Manager of WBLS. “But we understand what it requires to put a live show on television each and every day and wish Wendy all the best in this new venture.”

“I want to tell all of my fans that after July 31st, I will no longer be doing a show with WBLS,” Williams said. “I really was blessed to have a broadcast home in NY on radio for the past 7 years and I want to thank everyone who supported me. I have one of the best jobs in the world, making a difference in the lives of my fans made all the difference to me and I look forward to doing the same thing in my new role as a TV host. My hope is that you will do your best to find me on your remote so I can continue to entertain and inform you each and every day.”

WENDY WILLIAMS TO LAUNCH TALK SHOW

Wendy Williams will launch her long-awaited television talk show July 14 on Fox.

The hour-long daily show is scheduled for a six-week run and will feature Williams interviewing prominent guests.

Airing in the daytime in a yet-unspecified time slot, it is being coproduced by Debmar-Mercury and Fox television stations.

Initially it will be seen in four cities: New York (Ch. 5), Los Angeles, Dallas and Detroit.

Williams will continue her radio show, which is nationally syndicated 2-6 p.m. daily from WBLS (107.5 FM).

I guess her domestic troubles haven't had an effect on her professional success.

MORE TROUBLE FOR WENDY WILLIAMS

Wendy Williams may have a different response to her catch phrase, "How ya doin'?!" these days.

More WBLS staffers have come forward to corroborate the sexual harassment claims made by a young female talent booker for the shock jock.

Nicole Spence, who wrangled such guests as Janet Jackson, Russell Simmons and Flo Rida for Williams' show, filed an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaint last month against WBLS, Williams and her husband and manager, Kevin Hunter.

While Hunter doesn't work for the radio station, he was often in the studio. Despite the presence of his wife, who is 10 years older than him, Hunter "repeatedly sexually propositioned me," Spence claims in the filing, "telling me over and over that he wanted to f- me."

According to the 29-year-old, she was pushed to the brink after "his sexual propositions escalated into the obsessive. ... He constantly told me of his desire to 'f-' me and that he had been dreaming about sleeping with me.

"Mr. Hunter said I needed 'a real man in my life to mold me into the woman that I am supposed to be,' proclaiming, of course, that he was that man."

Spence also says she feared for her safety, especially after Hunter, she claims, "repeatedly physically assaulted Ms. Williams."

"Others have come forward since we filed the complaint to support Nicole's claims," said Karen Webber, a partner in the prestigious law firm Thompson, Wigdor & Gilly, which is preparing a federal lawsuit on Spence's behalf. "They say he often called women bitches and used alcohol, and they describe his violent outbursts against Ms. Williams." Other women say they were victimized as well.

Spence, who often appeared live on the show, has been ostracized since the filing, Webber claims. As listeners know, Williams even went so far as to throw her out of the studio on the air.

HUSBAND OF WENDY WILLIAMS CHARGED

According to the NY Post, the hubby of radio shock jock Wendy Williams repeatedly tried to force her female booker to sleep with him - and beat up his tough-talking wife at her own station, an explosive complaint charges.

Nicole Spence, who works as the red-hot radio queen's talent booker at WBLS 107.5-FM, filed the papers with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission yesterday.

Spence, 27, claims in the complaint that her boss' husband, Kevin Hunter, 33, demanded sex from her more than a dozen times and created a hostile work environment by repeatedly beating up Williams, 43, in and near the studio.

"Mr. Hunter repeatedly sexually propositioned me at work in the most crude and vulgar ways, telling me over and over that he wanted to 'f- - -' me," Spence charges.

Both Williams and Hunter deny the allegations.

Hunter, who works as his wife's manager, is named in the papers as an alleged perpetrator of the harassment.

"I also feared Mr. Hunter because he repeatedly physically assaulted Ms. Williams at or near the WBLS studio," Spence says in the complaint.

"In one instance, Mr. Hunter stormed into the studio, demanded that other employees leave and openly physically abused Ms. Williams, pinning her against the wall with his hand around her neck, choking her while repeatedly pounding his fist into the wall directly by her head."

Asked about Spence's complaint, Williams yesterday told The Post, "Her allegations are totally false. This bitch is out of her mind."

The allegations are "so far from the truth. It's insane," Hunter said.
Now am I the only one who didn't know that her husband was considerably younger??

WENDY WILLIAMS TO GET NETWORK SHOW

Wendy Williams will headline her own daytime talk show set to premiere next year according to the NY Post.

"The Wendy Williams Show" will air only in New York, at first, before rolling out nationally. "It's basically a capsulized version of a lot of the stuff I do on the radio," Williams told The Post.
"My radio show pleases a varied audience, from the hip-hop kids to older women. I know what the daytime TV audience is - and I'll fit right into that."
The daily, hour-long show will be co-produced by Williams and Debmar-Mercury ("South Park").As of now, it's slated to premiere late next spring.
Williams said her show will be on a "network" - but declined to say where "The Wendy Williams Show" will air. She did say, however, that it will be shot in front of a studio audience and that she won't have a sidekick. "We'll have everybody from Patti LaBelle talking about fashion, food and menopause to Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Remy Ma" and other celebrities."

"I do want to have some celebrity chatabout and give advice, but I'm interested in all kinds of things busy women are interested in - food on-the-quick, fashion on-the-cheap and fun with no headaches," she said. "I am a hair-and-makeup girl."

I can't wait.....I secretly love hearing Wendy's dirt.

USHER FIGHTS FOR HIS WOMAN

Watch what you say about Usher's woman.

According to syndicated host Tom Joyner, the R&B singer recently threatened to "whup my a-" after Joyner joked about rumored tension between Foster and Usher's mom, Jonetta Patton.

Joyner said Usher called him off-air to complain about claims that Foster urged him to "fire" Jonetta as his manager.

Usher allegedly also called WBLS host WendyWilliams and Hot-97's Angie Martinez to "ask them to lay off Tameka."

WENDY WILLIAMS ATTENDS COCO COVER PARTY

On Tuesday, attended Ice T & Coco's Smooth Magazine release party at BLVD.

Wendy, 'How YOU doing?' Wendy's a "friend in my head." Love that bag girl.

Here's the cover for anyone who hasn't seen it.

Typically, I would frown upon ladies like , but this girl knows how to make a brand. She may have a big a*s, but something tells me she's all about her business. She's learning something hanging with Ice T.
