Isn't a shame when the court system has to force you to be a father to a child....Well that's just what happened to Eddie Murphy.

British newspaper the Daily Mail is reporting that Eddie Murphy has been ordered to pay a total of £7 million in child support to Melanie “Scary Spice” Brown for their daughter, Angel Iris. The actor must fork over £35,000 per month to the singer until the 22-month-old girl reaches age 18 - a total of about £7million altogether.

Murphy has also reportedly agreed to see Angel Iris for the first time. The Hollywood star had originally questioned whether or not the child was his, but DNA testing ultimately proved his paternity. Murphy, 47, and Mel B, 33, have spent 15 months battling in Los Angeles courts and have signed non-disclosure contracts, preventing them from discussing the settlement in public.

But a friend of the singer told the News of the World: “Mel is delighted that the case is over as she just wanted what was right for the girl. It was never about the money - it was Mel’s way of asking Eddie to show consideration for Angel.”

“To see the kid, he’d have to see the mother,” a friend of the comedian said. Maybe when she’s older, Eddie will see Angel, but not now.”

And why is that you may ask. “Mel’s a crazy woman. Eddie wants to stay far away from her.”

TRACEY GOES AFTER JOHNNY

Guess who’s calling Johnny Gill out…..you guessed it….Tracey Edmonds.



Girlfriend reportedly called Johnny out on Doug Banks Monday morning to address his recent telephone interview with Johnny Gill regarding her wedding disaster with former fiancé Eddie Murphy.

When Johnny was asked to comment on reports that Murphy's mother Lillian got into a heated argument with Edmonds' mom during the former couple's "spiritual ceremony" near Bora Bora. Gill told Banks: "One of Tracey's guests said some things that were inappropriate that triggered everything with the mom, and that's how it all started."

Gill also denied rumors that he is secretly in a relationship with Murphy and was ultimately responsible for the legal ceremony being cancelled.

Banks told listeners Monday that Tracey had reached him by phone that morning, but was under gag order and couldn't discuss the issue because of a confidentiality agreement she signed with Eddie at the end of their relationship.

However her publicist released an official statement regarding Johnny Gill's comments during Friday's interview.

According to Banks, the statement read: "I was very shocked and disappointed to hear of Johnny Gill's false spin on the chain of events surrounding our wedding. His outrageous lies were clearly a very desperate and pathetic attempt to clean up his reputation at my expense. I would appreciate it if Mr. Gill would refrain from continuing to spread false gossip and lies to the public, and allow everyone involved to move on with their lives. We all know the real truth."

Is it me or should Johnny keep his mouth shut and let Eddie and Tracey work their own drama out.

According to NY Post's Page Six column, the breakup of Tracey Edmonds and Eddie Murphy never became legal because Murphy became bossy and physically intimidating, and insisted his mother accompany them on their honeymoon.

"That was kind of the last straw," said a friend of the beautiful bride. "She was happy to sign a prenup — she has her own money. She was very accommodating. But then it was like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Eddie became very controlling and they got into a huge fight. He started screaming at her and grabbed her. She was scared." The friend added, "She was even willing to change her name to Tracey Murphy, and all the wedding invites and place cards had her labeled as such."

Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds have called it quits just two weeks after their island wedding.....Thank goodness.....Oh did I say that out loud!!!



"After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further," Murphy and Edmonds tell People mag in an exclusive statement.

"While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends.”

The couple exchanged vows in a sunset ceremony on New Year's Day on a private island off Bora Bora in French Polynesia. But, according to a source, the honeymoon got off to a rocky start.

"Eddie started yelling at Tracey in front of people," says one of Edmonds's wedding guests. "He did it on a few occasions and it was very embarrassing."

Since the couple's nuptials took place in a foreign country, the wedding was purely ceremonial – not legal. Murphy, 46, and Edmonds, 40, originally said they planned to have a legal ceremony in the United States, but that is now off. Murphy and Edmonds started dating in the fall of 2006 and got engaged last July.

Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds tied the knot New Year's Day on a private island off Bora Bora in French Polynesia in front of 25 friends and family.


In a sunset ceremony on the beach Tuesday, Edmonds walked barefoot down the aisle to Gladys Knight's "Makings of You."

The bride wore a custom-designed form-fitting dress by stylist and designer Sugia Nazel and Jill Baracci, designer and owner of Baracci boutique. Murphy wore a cream suit and vest with an off-white handkerchief.

Among the guests were best man Johnny Gill, maid of honor Nicole Avant, matron of honor Julie Lev, as well as Edmonds's parents Jacqueline and George McQuarn, her brother Michael, Murphy's mother Lillian Lynch and his brother Vernon.

Edmonds, 40, gave her bridesmaids gold and diamond earrings from XIV Karats in Beverly Hills, and Murphy, 46, gave his groomsmen D.Atlantis watches.

The wedding was designed by event designer Colin Cowie, who created a gazebo on the beach made out of 6,000 shells for the ceremony. After the ceremony, guests celebrated at a private dinner and after-party.

So last month they were engaged and now Tracey Edmonds has revealed that the nuptials will take place before year end.

"We're coming close," Edmonds, 40, told People mag last night. "And I'll say it'll be before the end of the year ... and someplace far away and fun...It's just going to be very close friends and family but very romantic – and we'll have a good time!"

Speaking of Mel B, Eddie Murphy claims he "has and will continue to honor his responsibilities as a father," according to a statement released Friday by his publicist, Arnold Robinson.

Girlfriend was spotted Thursday meeting up with Nicole Murphy – Eddie Murphy's ex-wife and the mother of five of his children – at Beverly Hills eatery the Ivy, where the pair laughed over bottled water and lunch. Joining the two women were daughters Angel Iris, Brown's 4-month-old, and 5-year-old Bella Zahra, Murphy's youngest child with Nicole.

"They seemed really friendly toward one another," says an onlooker of the pair, who wore curve-hugging dresses and posed for cameras outside. "They had a pretty private meal in the back corner, away from all of us." The lunch date came one day after Brown and her lawyer Gloria Allred held a press conference claiming that Brown's former boyfriend Murphy "has not paid one penny of child support." A DNA test in June established that the actor is the father, but "paternity has not been legally acknowledged," according to Allred.

You know….I really believe this baby was planned because this woman is going to great lengths to make this man pay. I can’t believe Tracey is standing by this man’s side. Sometimes is not how people treat you, you really get to see someone’s true colors by how they treat others.

MEL B. DEMANDS EDDIE STEP UP

Melanie Brown, aka "Scary Spice," and her lawyer Gloria Allred stepped out for a press conference today accusing Eddie Murphy of not doing "the right thing" in regard to Brown's baby.



Allred claims that Murphy "has not paid one penny of child support" for the former couple's daughter, said she plans to ask the court to award child support and "to decide what is reasonable." Allred said she's filed a paternity suit against Murphy to legally establish that he is the father of their nearly 4-month-old daughter, Angel Iris Murphy Brown. "We've had communication with his attorney, and now we're moving forward."

"Murphy was promising to do the right thing, but to date he has not done the right thing," said Allred. "Mr. Murphy can have all the babies he chooses to have, but his responsibility needs to be to his own children. [Brown] is seeking sole physical and legal custody."

"He bought a big diamond ring for his new fianceé," added Allred, referring to Murphy's recent engagement to girlfriend Tracey Edmonds. "It is nice to be generous to others, but what about his own baby?"

Scary went on to add, "I am here for one reason and one reason only – her name is Angel. Angel is my baby and Eddie's. She will always know that she was planned and wanted by both of us, but I want her to know that she has two parents who desire to be responsible for her during her life and who love her so much that they want to be a part of it."

Scary....two words......GO GIRL!!!!!!! Wow! I love the fact that she is calling him on the carpet. It's absolutely ridiculous that he's out buying 8-carat rings when he hasn't paid a dime in child support.

EDDIE MURPHY ENGAGED

Eddie Murphy and girlfriend of 10 months Tracey Edmonds are engaged to be marred according to OK! magazine.



The actor proposed to Tracey, ex-wife of singer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, with a “massive” Cartier yellow diamond engagement ring (roughly 8 carats!) on July 25.

Eddie, 46, and Tracey, 40, began dating last October. They plan to tie the knot before the end of the year though no date has been set yet. Eddie has five children with first wife Nicole Mitchell. The marriage ended after 12 years and the divorce was finalized in April last year. He also has a child, Angel Iris Murphy Brown born April 3, with ex-girlfriend Melanie Brown, aka Scary Spice. Tracey has sons from her marriage to Babyface from their 13-year marriage.
