Laila Ali has given birth to her first son weighing in at 6.8 lbs., measuring 19 inches long.



The announcement came via her Web site Thursday. "Although mom and baby are both healthy and happy, there were some surprises during labor that altered Laila's birth plan," the statement said.

Her husband Curtis Conway has twin sons - Kelton and Cameron, 13 - and a daughter Leilani, 9, from a previous relationship.

And a six months pregnant Laila Ali was spotted at the 2008 Sports Spectacular VIP afterparty at the X-Bar in Century City, CA this past weekend with her hubby.
