2008 GRAMMYS

Red Carpet

Alicia Keys looked chic in this deep-blue Armani gown with a Mohawk of curls

Beyonce instead chose a pastel blue.....sorry not feeling this overly dramatic number at all. I like the hair though....

Will.i.am....WTF?
This right here is foolishness....Kelis is ride or die for sporting that jacket.

Corrine Bailey Rae wore a plastic blue dress...not the worst thing I've seen

Fanny....One word...HAIR

John Legend

Ney-Yo

Jay-Z rocked a very subtle Tom Ford pin-striped suit

Fergie went for a light-yellow Calvin Klein number and framed her face with soft, loose curls
Chris Brown...Can't stand this choice. I hope he doesn't have a stylist.

Carrie Underwood's plunging Zuhair Murad floral was by far one of my favorites

Ludacris took home the crown for best dressed male as he sported head-to-toe Armani

Rihanna made a fashion statement in her bright-blue sculpted Zac Posen number, which boasted feathers peeking from under the skirt.

Performances

Alicia Keys opened the ceremony with a virtual Frank Sinatra" singing Learning the Blues"

John Mayer joined Alicia for her second performance of the night.

Beyoncé and Tina Turner performed "Proud Mary." Suprisingly, Bey toned it down as opposed to her over-the-top performance w/ Prince years ago. This was the best performance of the night. I can't belive Tina still has it. How old is she....70 something?

Fergie and John Legend performed "Finally"

Kanye West lit up the stage with his performance of "Stronger"

Kanye West kneeled during his emotional performance of "Hey Mama" I can't lie....I shed some tears on this performance.

Will.i.am

The Time's Morris Day and Rihanna performed together

Winners

Amy Winehouse hugged her mother Janis Winehouse via satellite, after winning Record of the Year for "Back to Black." Her performance was easily the most anticpated of the night. Luckily she didn't drop the ball like Brit Brit. She did great and looked pretty sober.

Jay-Z and Rihanna accept the award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, for "Umbrella"

Knowles and Akon present West the Best Rap Album award for "Graduation"

Alicia Keys accepted the award for Best Female R&B performance
