THE GAME MAY FACE JAIL

TMZ reports:

When The Game said goodbye to a relative at a funeral, he may also have kissed his own ass goodbye. We've learned the Hawthorne City Attorney has charged The Game with criminal battery for allegedly punching a cousin at a family funeral. The tiff was over money, and the relative called the cops and made a citizen's arrest before the body was buried. And it gets worse for Mr. Game. He's currently on probation for a firearms offense, and if he's convicted of battery a judge could violate that probation and throw his butt in the pokey.

ANGELA & VANESSA HIT UP MAGIC

The Simmons sisters were spotted previewing their Pastry line at MAGIC in Vegas this week.

SOLANGE SETS THE RECORD STRAIGHT

So while doing her promo tour, Solange got a little greasy with Fox News. Apparently she popped off on the Fox News anchor yesterday morning for being “unprofessional” and lumping her in with her big sis. See video HERE.

So in true Fox form, they have responded saying that their sources in Solo’s camp say she’s a spolied brat who gets anything she wants and has no media training. Allegedly the Knowles camp is “apologetic” for her mouthiness yesterday, but they have not submitted any statement to Fox. They also say they know Solange is not a fan of Fox networks.

Anywho, Solo has responded with a video of her own

RUBEN STUDDARD FACES TAX WOES

Ruben Studdard may be about to pull a Wesley Snipes. The American Idol singer is facing tax woes.

It's been a rough 10 months for former American Idol Ruben Studdard. First he was dropped from his record label, now the government has placed liens on his property because he owes a reported $200,000 in back taxes.
Studdard was attempting to bounce back from his stalled music career by opening a nightclub, which may be harder to pull off now.

Ruben Studdard, 29, has a hefty tax debt of nearly $200K in unpaid taxes, reports the Associated Press, citing court filings showing that the Feds and Alabama have placed liens on Studdard's property.

It seems the singer has a problem with unpaid income taxes for 2003 and 2005, but his Birmingham attorney, Byron Perkins, told the Birmingham News that his client has the dough to pay. Ruben was named "Idol" in 2003, just edging out Clay Aiken for the title.

Alabama developer John Elkington is wondering if the liens on Studdard's goods will affect Ruben's six-figure investment in a Birmingham club expected to bear his name.
GV Says: Rub...pay your bills before you're hauled off to jail

LOOK WHO'S SHAKING?

According to the rumor mill, Chris & Riri could be on their way to shaking up.

Star mag reports that Rihanna "has been searching for a condo in the Los Angeles area since early July to share with Chris and has checked out units in Beverly Hills' Sierra Tower. Rihanna's so serious about finding them a new home that she has new listings e-mailed to her even when she's out of town."

"She and Chris want to live together," says the insider. "They play their music loud though, so they want a condo that's soundproof."
GV Says: Okay now Chris....don't get too comfortable. Make an honest woman out of her.

JAY-Z SELLS VEGAS 40/40

Surprise, surprise...Hov sells Vegas 40/40 club.

Less than nine months after opening the Vegas version of his 40/40 Club in the Palazzo, Jay-Z has sold the joint for an undisclosed amount.

There have been reports of problems since the place opened in January 2008. It struggled to open for New Year's Eve after reportedly failing inspection.

Disgruntled employees who were fired or resigned also complained to local media shortly after its opening.

The space will reportedly be turned into a sports bar by the hotel. But Jay's not down for the count yet—he still plans to open 40/40 Clubs in Chicago, Tokyo and Macau.

GV Says: Make that money Hov....make that money!

DMX RELEASED

Rapper DMX has been released after acting a fool.

After he dropped an F-bomb on a Miami judge yesterday, DMX is finally free. His lawyer, former "Apprentice" Bradford Cohen, just worked out a plea deal with the judge: time served and about a $483 fine. X could've faced up to six years on the trying-to-score coke and pot charges, to which he plead guilty.
Reportedly, now police have 15 days to collar him for all his eight zillion arrests there. If they don't, he's home free ... until the next time he gets arrested...
GV Says: Put this man out of his misery and just send him to the pen

DR. DRE'S SON PASSES

The 20 year-old son of hip-hop producer/ rapper Dr. Dre passed over the weekend.

Andre Young Jr., 20, was discovered "unresponsive" by his mother at his home in Woodland Hills, Calif., on Saturday morning, according to the L.A. County Coroner's office.
"Dr. Dre is mourning the loss of his son," his rep Lori Earl said in a statement. "Please respect his family's grief and privacy at this time."
Young's mother told police that she attempted to rouse her son at 10:24 a.m. on Saturday, and when she couldn't, she called paramedics. They pronounced him dead at the scene. Young "had been out with friends" the previous night and returned home around 5:30 a.m., according to L.A. County Coroner's assistant chief Ed Winter. An autopsy was performed Monday. No foul play is expected.
Dr. Dre has four other children: sons Curtis, 26, Marcel, 17, and Truth, 11, and daughter Truly, 7.
GV Says: My heart goes out to him losing a son.

The father of the bride, Mr. Williams, escorts his daughter down the aisle to meet her hubby-in-waiting. I love this dress!!!!!

HOV PAYS RESPECT

Page Six is reporting that Hov is giving kudos to his moles:

"Jay-Z is paying respect to the folks who protect his privacy. The notoriously stealthy rapper penned a re-mix of "Blow the Whistle" that gives a shout-out to his favorite nightlife impresario, Richie Akiva. Jay-Z includes the lyrics, "When I'm not at Butter, I'm at 1Oak," referring to two of Akiva's Manhattan hotspots. The re-mix is played only at 1Oak - a club that never alerts the media when Jay and his wife, Beyoncé, show up there to party."

DIDDY PULLED OVER

Cops pulled a gun on rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs during a routine traffic stop in Los Angeles, authorities said Sunday.

The NY Daily News reports that a Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy briefly brandished his weapon at Combs on the Sunset Strip after cops pulled over a car driven by a member of his entourage.

"A deputy pulled his firearm, fearing for his safety," said a sheriff's department spokesman. "The situation was deflated as quickly as it began."

Combs spokeswoman Keesha Johnson said the officer did not pull the gun directly on the rapper, and stressed that the officers were "really respectful."

The trouble started when a member of Combs' entourage was stopped at 3:15a.m. Saturday (August 23) after cops noticed the rental car he was driving didn't have proper tags.

The deputy called for backup after two cars stopped nearby as the deputy searched the vehicle, police said. One member of the group was detained when he became uncooperative, prompting six or seven others - including Combs - to advance toward the deputy, a source said.

The driver was not issued a ticket because the car was a rental, and nobody was hurt in the incident, police said.

SHAQ A STALKER?

Just when Shaq decided to get his marriage together, here comes a woman out of the woodworks claiming the brother is a stalker.

"Shaquille O’Neal has been ordered to steer clear of an Atlanta-area woman who took out a restraining order Thursday.
Fulton County Superior Court Judge Richard Hicks granted Alexis Miller’s request Thursday after reviewing her allegations that the basketball player stalked her, threatened her with bodily harm and made harassing phone calls in which he breathed heavily into the phone before hanging up.
Miller, a 23-year-old hip-hop artist known professionally as Maryjane, claimed she ended an intimate relationship with O’Neal last month. She alleged he then threatened to pay performers $50,000 each not to work with her.
“It’s been very difficult for her,” said L. David Wolfe, Miller’s Atlanta-based attorney. “Her fears are not only for herself but also the people around her.” He said Miller, who has a young son, is “pretty traumatized.”
Wolfe said Miller had known the 7-foot-1, 325-pound All-Star center for about a year and a half, and that the two became intimate over the past six to eight months.
The court affidavit quotes an e-mail from O’Neal as saying, “I dnt no who the [expletive] u think u dealin wit u will neva be heard from one phone call is I gotta make now try me. Sho me.”
Wolfe said O’Neal, 36, still had not been served the legal paperwork as of early Friday afternoon. O’Neal’s agent, Perry Rogers, did not return three phone messages left at his office Friday afternoon. Officials with the Suns couldn’t be reached for comment.
Under terms of the temporary restraining order, O’Neal is prohibited from having any contact or even coming within 200 yards of Miller or her 19-month-old son. O’Neal, who resides in Florida, is not the father of the child, Wolfe said.
Both parties are scheduled to appear before Fulton County Superior Court Judge Karen Woodson on Sept. 4 to determine whether the restrictions should remain."
GV Says: It'll be interesting to see how this turns out.

FAITH EVANS KEEPS IT REAL

Looks like Faith Evans is penning an autobiography and of course it wouldn't be complete without describing life with Biggie.

The NY Post reports:
"Faith Evans had a brutal way of extracting revenge when The Notorious B.I.G. cheated on her. The R&B songbird hunted down his lovers and beat them to a pulp. "I thought maybe kicking some ass would get the word out that chicks better think twice before messing with my husband," Evans writes in her new autobiography, "Keep the Faith." Once, she hopped a red-eye to Virginia, where Biggie (real name Christopher Wallace) was touring, and found a young hottie in a plaid school uniform in his hotel room. She writes: "[I] jumped on top of her and started beating her ass . . . 'Yo, Ma you need to chill!' Big said, 'I didn't even [bleep] her!' I mashed [her] in the face and then kicked her. 'Yeah, well, you should have,' I said." Another time, she found a cutie's photo and number in Biggie's car, traced her to a Bronx apartment and, together with a male pal, gave her "a brief but thorough beat-down." "
GV Says: Thank goodness we're past that point in life Faith.

BOW WEEZY TRYING TO HOLLA BACK?

Could Bow Weezy really be trying to holla back?

Page Six is reporting that Bow Wow and Angela were "all over each other," Saturday night in Miami.

Insiders knew that her relationship was over when pro skater Terry Kennedy took all of Angela's pictures off his MySpace page earlier last week.

GV Says: Angela...don't do it.

DASH DASHES ON BILLS

A bank is suing Damon Dash for allegedly dashing away from his mortgage.

The NY Daily News reports:

that Dash has failed to pay Eastern Savings Bank $78,504 in monthly payments for a pair of trendy Tribeca condos from January to August, the bank claims.

Now the bank is warning Dash that he's in danger of losing his apartments in the Sugar Warehouse on Laight St. and in the Atalanta on North Moore St. unless he comes up with the cash in a hurry.

He's also facing more than $10,000 in late fees on the $7.3 million cross-mortgage that covers both properties.

"Damon Dash and [model wife] Rachel Roy have failed to comply with the terms and provisions of the said mortgage," the suit charges.

The lawsuit points out that Dash, who co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records with Jay-Z, has a long history of not paying his bills.

The suit, filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, cites numerous judgments against Dash in which he was ordered to pay more than $2 million in New York state taxes, more than $100,000 in federal taxes and $95,000 in unpaid rent to the landlord of the W.39th St. building that houses Damon Dash Enterprises.

A spokeswoman for Dash did not reply to requests for comment, and a lawyer for Eastern Savings Bank declined to comment.

Dash last year sued his accountant for allegedly costing him millions of dollars by filing faulty tax returns.
GV Says: What happened to that huge deal he supposedly closed for Rachel's fashion line?
