DJ Envy resigned from his position at Hot 97 today.

Envy is the CEO of his own company, Blok Entertainment company. You may remember Envy ss part of Miss Jones' morning show crew before she departed for Philly station, Power 99.

In 2005, Miss Jones, DJ Envy and personality Tasha Hightower were suspended for two weeks for their part in promoting an off-color song titled “The Tsunami Song" that outraged Asian-Americans.

Additionally DJ Envy feuded with rival DJ Star, who was eventually fired from Power 105.1 in 2006 and arrested for making sexually threatening remarks about DJ Envy’s wife and his 4-year-old daughter.

SERENA GETS HIT WITH RECORD FINE them trying to stick it to Serena despite the fact the call was indeed bogus....The NY Daily New reports

that Serena was served with a record fine for her profanity-laced tirade aimed at a lineswoman during a Sept. 12 U.S. Open match.

In addition to the unprecedented $82,500 fine, Williams could be suspended from a future U.S. Open if she commits another "major offense" during a Grand Slam event over a probationary period that will last the next two years, Grand Slam administrator Bill Babcock told the wire service.

The penalty, the most severe ever dished out by the London-based body, was meted out for Williams' meltdown during a semifinals match against Kim Clijsters after lineswoman An Shino called Williams for a foot fault - a penalty that led to match point.

"I swear to God, I'll f--- take this ball and shove it down your f--- throat," the 11-time Grand Slams singles champion screamed at the lineswoman, an exchange picked up by television cameras.

Replays later showed the lineswoman's call was wrong.

Clijsters went on to win the tournament, but critics slammed the USTA's decision to let Williams play with her older sister, Venus, in the tournament's double finals after fining the younger Williams $10,500 - out of the $350,000 she had earned on her U.S. Open run.

"I think she should be suspended," CBS tennis analysis Mary Carillo said at the time. "I can't believe they are letting her play the doubles after that. What does it say about our sport if all you do is hand out a fine?"

If Williams has another flareup to violate her probation, she would face a fine of $175,000, in addition to the U.S. Open suspension, The Associated Press reported.

J can't catch a break these days....

The NY Daily News reports that the executive producer trying to make a home honeymoon movie with J.Lo's ex-husband Ojani Noa is threatening to put 11 hours of footage and unspecified photographs into court files, where the public could have access unless a judge seals them.

"I will be filing everything, repeat everything, in support of my opposition at the clerk's window," producer Ed Meyer wrote in a threatening e-mail to J.Lo's lawyer Thursday.

"If the judge finds me in contempt on Tuesday, then the world media will be there to see me led out of the courtroom in handcuffs."

Meyer said it's going to take a federal judge to stop him.

"It's time for someone in Hollywood to stand up to [Lopez's attorneys], and I'm that person," he wrote.

Lopez filed a $10 million lawsuit earlier this month claiming Noa is violating a confidentiality agreement with his alleged intent to incorporate the footage into a Borat-style mockumentary about his life as a Cuban immigrant.

In sports news, we hear that Ex-Knick Latrell Sprewell is facing money troubles.

The NY Daily News reports that Sprewell is facing foreclosure on his $5.4 million Westchester County mansion, one year after losing his yacht.

Sprewell, 39, purchased the 3.3-acre property in Purchase in January 2000 for $2.3 million.

The ex-NBA player took out a 30-year Washington Mutual Bank mortgage for $1,612,000 in 2004. He began missing payments in April 2008, the Journal News reported, citing court records.

Deutsche Trustee Co. Limited is listed as the plaintiff in foreclosure proceedings.

The home is due to be auctioned off Jan. 7 at the Westchester County Courthouse, according to

The home was the scene of an alleged domestic dispute in 2006 when the baller was charged with attacking his girlfriend. Prosecutors dropped the charges in 2008, the newspaper reported.

Sprewell, who played in the NBA for 13 years, was suspended for choking his coach while he was with the Golden State Warriors during the 1997-98 season. He last played in 2005 for Minnesota.

He lost his 70-foot yacht, Milwaukee's Best, last year after defaulting on payments. U.S. Marshals auctioned off the $1.5 million Italian-built vessel for $856,000.

Tiger Woods was hospitalized after crashing his car near his home early Friday, according to reports.

Woods, 33, was leaving his house in Orlando, Fla., around 2:25 a.m. when he ran his 2009 Escalade into a fire hydrant and then into a tree on a neighbor's property. The airbags on his car didn't deploy, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report, an indication that he was traveling at under 33 mph.

He was taken to a nearby hospital. According to Orlando Sentinel, hospital officials said he was no longer a patient by 2 p.m. Woods spokesman Glenn Greenspan said the golfer was treated and released in good condition.

So far, law enforcement sources revealed that Tiger Woods has canceled all his meetings with the Florida Highway Patrol.

One of the things authorities want to see -- the wounds on Tiger's face ... whether they were caused by the accident or during a domestic dispute with his wife.

While he is ignoring police, he broke his silence to fans and wrote on his Web site Sunday: "This situation is my fault and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again."

As for the rumors, including speculation that he and his wife may have had a physical altercation following a report published in the National Enquirer that he had an affair, Woods demurred. "This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way," he said. "Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible."

He continued: "The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false. "This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be."

In an interview today with The Bert Show on Q100 Atlanta, Rihanna said that despite their battered past, she misses her ex...

"Places that we'd been to together, music...things that come up that remind you of your ex."

She continues: "I've gotten over it but there's definitely constant reminders and a lot of it is listening to the radio, and songs that were our favorite songs, or his songs."

When asked if she can still listen to his music, she says: "When it comes on the radio, I don't turn it off. I like his music."

TMZ reports that Chris Breezy was in court today. The judge looked at Breezy's progress report, which showed that he's completed 100 hours of community service and 52 domestic violence classes. "The sun will set on the Oprah show as its 25th season draws to a close on September 9, 2011."

After complaining of feeling badly for days, Nicole Richie was hospitalized for pneumonia at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

On Sunday, Richie, 28, said on her Twitter page that she had been battling illness, writing, "ok cold, it's been 6 days. Lets part ways graciously & keep it moving."

And the following day, at a court hearing to get restraining orders against two paparazzi, Richie appeared subdued and her lawyer indicated to the judge that she wasn't feeling well.

Last week the star's rep shot down Internet rumors that she was suffering from the swine flu. Yesterday, her rep reported that she was "doing well."

First it was "Papers," now Usher is set to release his album "Raymond vs Raymond" blatant.

The release date just got bumped up to December 21.

Bryan Michael Cox told MTV:
"I think Usher is in a place where he really wants to express what's going on in his life, as any artist would," Cox said, referring to Usher's divorce from Tameka Foster-Raymond. "All the greats did it. Marvin Gaye did Here, My Dear. All the greats express where they are personally."

"I think [the new album] is where we are going to see Usher as an artist. I'm very curious to hear what the rest of the album is going to sound like," Cox said about Raymond vs. Raymond. "Our records are definitely in that lane of touching on what's going on in his life, so we are going to see what's going to happen. I'm very excited about the album. I think he has a lot to say."

GV Says: You know nothing is better than a man with a story, but have some class. He made such a big fuss about a black man being a father and husband to his black family. It's just ridiculous that he's so quick to trash all that now.
Usher never ceases to show me his new lows.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, one of basketball's all-time greatest players, announced Tuesday morning that he has cancer. The sports legend made the public disclosure nearly a year after being diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia.

Abdul-Jabbar, 62, was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia in December 2008 after having hot flashes and sweats. His blood work revealed that his white blood cell count was "sky high," he said. Now taking medication for the blood disease, he is expected to have a regular life span.

"When the doctor told me I had cancer, I was scared," said Abdul-Jabbar. "My grandfather and my uncle both died from colorectal cancer, my dad almost died from it and I have the gene for it. It's in my family, so I thought this was something else along those lines, but it's not."

Abdul-Jabbar, a father of five, said he came forward after learning many patients don't regularly take their medication and skip appointments to the doctor.

"I'm telling my story to encourage fellow patients to take charge of their health," he said. "Work closely with your doctor, monitor your disease and, above all, take your medicine."

After much speculation, it's revealed that Toni Braxton is separated from her husband Keri Lewis, formerly of Mint Condition, after 8 years of marriage.

Looks like the rumor mill is suspecting that the lip lock with singer Trey Songz during the opening of the 2009 Soul Train Awards, which was taped Nov. 3 in Atlanta (the show will air on BET at 9 p.m. on Nov. 29) may have been the cause.

Looks like rapper Wale is all smiles about Miss Solange....

“I do love her,” he admits of Solange, flashing a Cheshire. “We’re friends. She’s amazing. She’s a good person. Any single mother contributing to society the way she does – I got a lot of love for them. She’s got to do a lot on her own and raise a young black man in this day and age so my hat goes off to her. She’s definitely an anomaly. And the way she can do that and manage to do the same things that I complain about having to do.”

His affection is as obvious as a set of flushed cheeks. And impossibly adorable. Wale, the former mixtape rapper from inner city DC, is borderline giddy. “Did you interview Solange about me?” Wale asks. He’s sprawled across his bed; head practically buried in the pillow. “Did she smile when you mentioned my name?”

GV Says: Awww shoot girl....don't fight it.

Looks like AI is out of Memphis.

Officially, everyone from Memphis is saying Iverson left to deal with a personal issue, but everyone else in the NBA knows that issue is Iverson could not stand the seat from the bench at the start of the game.

Unfortunatley, it looks like Memphis is really trying to groom a young team, and that includes Mike Conley at point.

Michael Wilbon as usual sheds good light on the situation.

Remember the lady who was attacked by the chimpanzee - Charla Nash - in February of this year? Well not only is she conscious but she appeared on "Oprah" today and revealed her face and shared the heartbreaking details on her life since the attack.

Nash told Oprah that she feels no pain but that she tries not to touch her face so as to avoid knowing the full extent of her injuries.

"I don't ask a whole lot about my injuries... I know that I have my forehead," she said. She now drinks her meals "with a straw through a small hole where her mouth used to be," ABC added.

Nash lost both her hands in the attack, as well as her nose, an eyelid, and lips. Doctors removed her eyes due to an infection, and only recently did she learn she'll no longer be able to see.

"Only . . . in the past couple of weeks did she realize that she no longer had eyes, because she had been saying that she was hoping to be able to see at some point," Oprah said.

Nash now walks around her Cleveland hospital — from which she might be released soon — in a veil.

All eyes have been on Sammy Sosa's light skin this week.

"I'm doing well, doing well, thanks to God. A little surprised by the tsunami of attention," Sosa said in a Spanish interview with Univision reporter Tony Dandrades Tuesday on the program "Primer Impacto." It was the first of a two-part interview.

Photographs of Sosa during a recent appearance at the Latin Grammys in Las Vegas showed his facial skin tone to be almost white.

"What's going on with your skin?" asked Dandrades. (GV Says: Pretty blatant....HA!)

"I use a cream to keep my skin smooth and soft. I apply it before I go to bed. When I was playing for Chicago all those years, I was in the sun a lot for 1 o'clock games," said Sosa, who turns 41 tomorrow. "The flashes (from the cameras) also made my skin look lighter. I'm surprised with the controversy this has caused."

Sosa, who would not tell Dandrades the name of the cream he uses, did say that it is European and that he is in negotiations to market the product. He added that he wears colored contact lenses because he wanted to "try something different. I'm not trying to be superficial."

Asked by Dandrades if Sosa was trying to be like Jackson, he laughed.

"Not at all, I respect him very much," said Sosa, who gave the interview at his Miami penthouse apartment on Monday. "I'm not a racist. I'm not like that. I'm just a happy person."

Looks like Shaq and Shauni are headed to divorce court.....again

According to court papers, Va'shaundya "Shaunie" O'Neal filed for legal separation from the Cleveland Cavaliers player in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Monday, reports.

She cites irreconcilable differences for the demise of her seven-year marriage to the 37-year-old athlete.

In addition to asking for an unspecified amount of money for spousal and child support, Shaunie is also seeking sole custody of the couple's four minor children, ages 3 to 9, with visitation rights for O'Neal.

Though the couple lives in Florida, Shaunie claimed she's a resident of California, which has more generous community property divorce provisions.

According to, Shaunie recently flew to Los Angeles and claimed herself a resident of The Golden State on Nov. 8, one day before filing the separation papers.

This is the second split for Shaunie and Shaq, who originally filed for divorce in 2007.

The couple, who reportedly have a prenuptial agreement, eventually reconciled after a bitter dispute over whether or not he was hiding money from her.

Jennifer Lopez has been granted a temporary restraining order preventing her former husband, Ojani Noa, from marketing risque home videos from their 11-month marriage.

Noa was in California Superior Court without a lawyer on Tuesday and claimed after Judge James C. Chalfant's ruling it was never his intention to sell the private camcorder footage. He said it was his intention to produce a Borat-style mocumentary about himself as a Cuban immigrant.

"She is destroying my life," Noa, vowing the videos were non-sexual and not for sale, told New York's Daily News immediately after the hearing. "This is another proof of her power and money trying to stop me from moving on with my life."

He added: "I'm not making any money from these videos," he said. "This is about having a closure. It's my story."

As described in reports, the video, called How I Married Jennifer Lopez: The J.Lo and Ojani Noa Story, reputedly includes 1997 footage of Lopez, now 40, wearing skimpy clothing and supposedly being spanked by Noa. It reportedly also contains a fight between her and her mother.

In 2007, Lopez won a lawsuit that forbade him from publishing a tell-all book about their marriage. That book allegedly claimed Lopez frequently cheated on Noa, including with her current husband, Marc Anthony.

For a recent taping of E!'s Secret Celebrity, Kim Kardashian slipped on a prosthetic face.

Kim wrote on her website that it was "a real process" getting into character, adding that she had to get a molding of her face, "so I could have a prosthetic nose, cheeks, and neck put on!"

The gang at Secret Celebrity has "made casts of everyone from Tom Cruise to Angelina Jolie for movies!" Kardashian raves. "It was so surreal seeing all these famous movie stars' faces on the wall!! Kind of scary, huh?"

It's over....

The Superior Court in Fulton County, Georgia, issued a final decree last Wednesday in Usher's divorce case, legally ending his two-year marriage to Tameka Foster Raymond.

Usher, 31, filed for divorce in June, claiming the marriage was "irretrievably broken" with "no reasonable hope of reconciliation." The couple have two sons, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond.

GV Says: Whoa....a whopping two years.

Shortly after Rihanna's 20/20 interview, Chris Brown issued the following statement:

"While I respect Rihanna's right to discuss the specific events of February 8," Brown says in a statement to MTV News, "I maintain my position that all of the details should remain a private matter between us."

"I do appreciate [Rihanna's] support and wish her the best. I am extremely sorry for what I did, and I accept accountability for my actions . . . Abuse of any kind is always wrong. The rest I leave it to God."

In other Chris news, he did an interview with MTV VJ Sway that aired just hours before Rihanna's 20/20 special:

After nine months, Rihanna gives the interview everyone has been wanting on 20/20.

GV Says: There's been so much speculation that she "caused" her attack by throwing the first blow. I'm so happy that she addressed that notion. She denied the allegation and posed the question...."and if I did, did I deserve that?" Good question. I'm glad she came out and spoke. It was time. There was no way her career could move on without this looming question of what happened.

A piece of the 20/20 interview with Rihanna is out (HERE) and I'm pretty surprised at her stance:

"That's embarrassing that that's the type of person that I fell in love with," Rihanna told "Good Morning America's" Diane Sawyer in her first television interview discussing the assault. "So far in love. So unconditional that I went back. It's humiliating to say this happened. To accept that? It's a traumatizing experience."

Her decision to go back to Brown, she said, was a mistake.

"I stayed. I even went back after he beat me, which was wrong," she said. "But again ... I'm a human being and people put me on a very unrealistic pedestal. And all these expectations, I'm not perfect."

GV Says: Let the war of the words begin....also is it too late?

We hear JD and JJ may have reunited.

According to a source close to the couple, Janet Jackson is now planning their wedding. The longtime friends says the two never fell out of love even after calling it quits last summer. Now that they are back together, they are hoping to get married early next year.

GV Says: I'll believe this when I see the marriage certificate.

More Beanie Sigel crying. On Tuesday, the Broad Street Bully appeared on Philadelphia radio station Power 99 as a surprise guest during 50 Cent's interview. I heard the interview and he basically aired Hov completely out. It was nothing nice and nothing short of crying and complaining.

"He is a crumb. I'm gonna put my foot on his neck until he responds...
"Please make a record," Beans yelled on-air. "A week's been out, dog. I'm not taking nothing from Jay as an artist. He ain't no walk in the park as an artist. All I'm saying is I don't gotta jog to keep up to him."

During the interview, Beanie also added that the label and the cars were earned and that Jay didn't give him anything. He also caught feelings because in court, Jay would not take 100% responsibility for Bean’s actions while on probation during the Roc the Mic tour.

GV Says: This is ridiculous. I wouldn’t be responsible for another grown man either. Jay knows Beans’s track record better than anybody. Plus Jay is traveling the world, he has businesses going on, dude was booed up….he ain’t got time to be nobody’s babysitter. This is some old sh*t. Beans please let this ish go. So now you’re 50’s B*tch. That’s a good look.

Josh Duhamel and wife Fergie are denying allegations from an Atlanta stripper that she had a one-night stand with the actor.

"This is not the first nor will it be the last time that a stripper was paid a large amount of money to sell a false story about a celebrity," says Duhamel's rep. "This story is absolutely ridiculous."

A rep for Fergie adds: "These allegations are nonsense."

In her latest interview, Nicole Forrester says she had sex with Duhamel in an Atlanta hotel a week after he came into the Tattletale club, where she works as a dancer. Forrester says she has text messages and polygraph test to back her up.

"We did hook up and had lots of sex and we had a really, really good time," Forrester told Atlanta radio station Q100's "Bert Show" on Monday.

Forrester, who originally sold her story to the National Enquirer for more than $20,000, says she now regrets coming forward because her children, a daughter, 10, and son, 13, hadn't known she was a stripper.

"My son's like: Mom are you doing anything different now? He doesn't want me to do this anymore. He doesn't want me to dance and I feel like I can't dance," she says. "I feel like people are just looking at me. It's just bad. It's just an uncomfortable situation with my children and all their friends know."

But when the National Enquirer told her that it would run the story with or without her cooperation, she agreed to an interview and a polygraph, which she says she passed.

"It's the truth," she says. "I'm not lying about anything. I have nothing to hide and he's just guilty as I am."

The net is already abuzz over Rihanna's 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer. The NY Daily News reports:

Rihanna's brutal beating at the hands of boyfriend Chris Brown left her humiliated, lonely and feeling like Britney Spears, the singer says.

"I felt like I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears," the singer told Glamour magazine in her first print interview since the February attack.

"That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day. It was like, What, there are helicopters circling my house? There are 100 people in my cul-de-sac? What do you mean, I can't go back home?"

Named one of Glamour's 2009 Women of the Year, Rihanna said her family, friends and fans were crucial, but she couldn't help feeling isolated after the assault.

"At some point you are there alone. It's a lonely place to be. No one can understand. That's when you get close to God," she said.

The leaked photo showing her bruised and battered face was another major blow.

"It was humiliating," she said. "That is not a photo you would show to anybody. I felt completely taken advantage of ... like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it's my life."

Still, the Barbados beauty said she's "stronger, wiser and more aware" as she enters a new chapter with her upcoming album "Rated R" due for release Nov. 23.

"Domestic violence is a big secret. No kid goes around and lets people know their parents fight. Teenage girls can't tell their parents that their boyfriend beat them up. You don't dare let your neighbor know that you fight. It's one of the things we will hide, because it's embarrassing," she said.

"My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery. The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn't heard."

Rihanna, 21, calls her new album "really personal."

"I've put everything I've wanted to say for the past eight months into my music," she said. "It's super fearless, which is exactly how I feel right now."

The singer opens up more in a TV interview with ABC News' Diane Sawyer set to air Thursday and Friday on "Good Morning America," and Friday night at 10 on "20/20."
