DIDDY THROWS THE ULTIMATE PARTY

Whether it's for the grown and sexy or teeny-boppers, Diddy is all about throwing the ultimate party.

On Saturday night, the NY Daily News reports that Diddy was on a mission to throw his son Justin Dior the ultimate Sweet Sixteen.

Spies at the M2 Ultralounge bash say the music mogul almost got into an altercation with a publicist early in the evening, when the flack tried to get in some personal business time with him.

"Diddy was yelling about how it was his son's birthday and not a night to talk about work," a partygoer dishes.

But the minidrama couldn't take away from the extravagant fete or Justin's spotlight: Diddy had his eldest son sit above the packed crowd on a throne that was on the stage, all while MTV cameras rolled for an upcoming episode of "My Super Sweet Sixteen."

And the line-up of performers wasn't too shabby, either. The crowd reportedly went wild when the likes of Fabolous, Lil' Kim and Jim Jones took to the stage to perform.

Diddy also didn't skimp on the gifts. He presented Justin with a brand-new silver Maybach (which sat outside the W. 28th St. hot spot wrapped in a red bow) and a uniformed driver to escort him around New York City — because, at 16, Justin is just now learning how to drive.

In a smaller — but just as exorbitant — package: Diddy gave his son a check for a cool $10,000, which we hear the miniphilanthropist has decided to donate to Yele Haiti.

And while the kids were having good, clean fun downstairs, the celebrities that attended the fete retreated to a private upstairs section for a more adultlike experience.

RIHANNA PICKS ANOTHER GOOD ONE

SMH....In an effort to move on, looks like Rihanna may have picked another lemon to pose for the paps with.



Just when it seemed like a drama-free romance was blooming for Rihanna, questions have surfaced about the singer's new beau, L.A. Dodgers star Matt Kemp.

In June 2008, Kemp's ex-girlfriend, Felisha Terrell, filed a temporary restraining order against him, alleging she endured "constant verbal abuse and threats. . . . He has other people calling me, stalking me and I feel very afraid for my safety."

The case never went beyond the restraining order and both sides agreed to move on.

But the details surfaced almost exactly a year after Rihanna was battered by her previous boyfriend, singer Chris Brown, following a pre-Grammy party. The pair split up and Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault and was sentenced to six months community labor.

A rep for Terrell quickly released a statement, saying, "To be clear, Matt was never physically abusive to Felisha."

Terrell's attorney at the time, David Diamond, reports that her allegations in the restraining order were truthful. "It was the harassment, it was the stalking and it was the intimidation," he says.

Kemp's camp denies all of it. His agent Dave Stewart released a statement, saying Terrell never moved forward with the case because "the statements made within [her complaint] were false."

"This happened over a year ago and it's really a non-issue for him," Stewart says. "He was saddened by the whole thing, especially taking into account what [Rihanna's] been through."

ELIN DOESN'T PLAY THAT

Looks like you don't fool with Elin. The NY Daily News reports that she trapped him with a text message.

Elin Nordegren pretended to be him while she tapped out a tawdry text to her rival, Rachel Uchitel, a new report says.

"I miss you," Elin Nordegren wrote. "When are we seeing each other again?"

After Uchitel texted back, Nordegren called her on the phone.

When she answered, the angry wife reportedly said, "I knew it was you."

"Oh, f---," a stunned Uchitel reportedly replied and hung up.

Citing two sources close to Woods' angry wife, Gerald Posner, a reporter for The Daily Beast Web site, presented the first in-depth account of what happened moments before the world's best golfer crashed his SUV into a tree on Nov. 27 - and totaled his carefully crafted family man image.

Posner reported Nordegren was so angry that she grabbed a golf club and chased her philandering husband out of their Florida mansion.

Since then, Woods has been unmasked as a serial cheater with a harem of hotties and is now being treated for sex addiction at a Mississippi clinic.

Woods, according to Posner, was aware that the National Enquirer was about to blow the lid off his alleged affair with Uchitel and warned Nordegren on the day before Thanksgiving that the exposé was about to land.

The golfer told Nordegren that he and Uchitel were just friends. He even put the New York party girl on the phone with his wife to reassure her.

When Nordegren learned that the Enquirer was reporting that Tiger and Uchitel had a romantic rendezvous in Australia, she confronted the golfer.

Rather than fight, Woods took an Ambien and hit the hay, the report says.

It was while her husband was snoozing that Nordegren started snooping through Woods' cell phone and discovered his text messages to Uchitel's number, including one that read, "You are the only one I've loved."

After Nordegren confirmed her suspicions about Uchitel, she hunted down her husband and screamed him out of his sleeping pill-induced stupor, Posner reported.

Woods quickly grabbed his phone, locked himself in a bathroom and texted Uchitel a warning.

According to Posner, Woods wrote that his wife knew about the affair, that he was packing his clothes - and that his marriage might be over.

When Woods emerged, Nordegren pounced - punching him in the chest and arms with her fists and then grabbing the golf club, Posner reported.

A terrified Woods fled the mansion in his bare feet and roared off in the SUV - and into infamy.

CIARA LANDS ADIDAS DEAL

Ciara has secured a lucrative endorsement deal with Adidas.



As part of the deal, the 24 year old will serve as a spokesperson in the campaign’s TV commercials worldwide, as well as feature as a model in the print ads for the ladies line. The Adidas deal adds to her list of sponsors/endorsements - Verizon, DoSomething.org, Express (Skinny) Jeans and fashion designers Givenchy and PuccI.

GRAMMYS TO PAY 3-D HOMAGE TO MICHAEL JACKSON

This year's Grammys will pay homage to Michael Jackson in a tribute that will include a 3-D film clip MJ made before his June 25 death and performances by Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Celine Dion and Smokey Robinson.



Jackson will also be honored with a lifetime achievement award from the Recording Academy during the show, CBS announced.

The 3-D video clip (which will require TV viewers to wear special glasses, available at Target stores) was made by Jackson for his hit "Earth Song" and was to have been an integral part of his July 2009 comeback concerts in London.

The Grammy Awards air on Jan. 31 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Did anyone catch "From Gs to Gents"?


Well Markice “Kesan” Moore from season one of MTV’s “From G’s to Gents” has turned himself in to police in Cobb County, Ga after being accused of brutally beating his one-year-old daughter.

TMZ is reporting that Moore was placed on Cobb County’s Most Wanted list after he was accused of breaking both of his infant daughter’s arms, one leg, three ribs and a collarbone.

The reality show vet told TMZ that he is not the “monster” he appears to be, and denies beating his daughter.

“Moore claims the only thing he should be held accountable for is the broken wrist his daughter suffered when she fell out of her bed in July while under his care,” the site reported. “As for his daughter’s other reported injuries, Moore claims the damage was not caused under his watch.

“Moore insists he never intended to run from the situation — he claims he just wanted to ‘get everything in order’ before turning himself in.”

Moore is being held on $20,000 bail.

TIGER OUT OF THE WOODS

A writer published in the New York Times Magazine reveals that Tiger Woods is currently a patient at Gentle Path -- a sex addiction program at Pine Grove, a treatment center in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Benoit Denizet-Lewis, who has written extensively about his own sex addiction, wrote on his personal blog Monday that a source confirmed Woods' stay at the clinic. Denizet-Lewis, who interviewed staff and patients at the center for his book America Anonymous: Eight Addicts in Search of a Life, notes that Gentle Path's program "is directed by Patrick Carnes, one of the world's leading experts on sex addiction." The treatment center would not confirm the identity of any of its patients.

The official website for Pine Grove says that the Gentle Path program is "for those suffering from sexual addiction, relationship addiction and sexual anorexia."

Denizet-Lewis speculates that Woods, 34, may have begun his sex addiction treatment elsewhere -- such as the Meadows treatment center in Arizona, where the golfer had allegedly also been spotted.

WYCLEF ANSWERS QUESTION

Wyclef answer questions around poor bookkeeping for his foundation Yéle Haiti.


In a tearful news conference, Wyclef denied allegations he profited from his organization Yéle Haiti, his foundation to help the country recently devastated by an earthquake.

"Did we make mistakes? Yes. Did I ever use any of Yéle's money for personal benefits? Absolutely not," the emotional musician told reporters Monday in New York. "Yéle's books are open and transparent, and we have been a clean bill of health by an external auditor every year since we started."

TheSmokingGun.com reported last week that Jean had used $410,000 from the foundation to pay for rent, production services, and Jean's appearance at a benefit concert.

Hugh Locke, president of Yéle Haiti, offered to provide past tax forms to insure that the organization has nothing to hide. And tax experts tell CNN it's routine for individuals to charge their own charities as long as services are being provided in return.

Charity Navigator, which evaluates non-profit organizations, also notes that Yéle Haiti filed three years worth of U.S. taxes late. "Charities are often not especially timely in filing these documents," the group says, "but this is beyond late."

Locke acknowledged that was a mistake. "We should have been on top of it," he said. "We were not."

TEDDY PASSES

R&B legend Teddy Pendergrass died Wednesday evening, his former publicist said. He was 59.

Pendergrass, known for smash love ballads such as "Turn Off the Lights" and "Love TKO," died after a long illness, according to Lisa Barbaris, who described herself as a close friend and his last publicist.

He died at a hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he was born.
His family did not reveal details about his illness, but said it was related to complications from a 1982 car accident, Barbaris said.

"His beloved family surrounded him. The world has lost one of its greatest voices and performers," a statement from Barbaris said.

"His family is devastated. He has three children and, even though it was expected, it still hurts," she said.

The crooner, who many affectionately knew as just "Teddy," started in music with a group called the Cadillacs in the late 1960s and was still with the group when it merged with Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, according to his official Web site.

He started as a drummer, but soon began to sing lead after the group heard his powerful voice.
In 1972, Pendergrass's baritone could be heard on the classic Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes song "If You Don't Know Me by Now."

The song became a No. 1 hit across the country and led Pendergrass to many other hits and accolades.

After going solo, Pendergrass received several Grammy nominations, Billboard's 1977 Pop Album New Artist Award and an American Music Award for best R&B performer of 1978, Barbaris said.

In 1982, Pendergrass was involved in a car accident that left him paralyzed. But Pendergrass returned to the studio in 1984 in his wheelchair to record an album.

Simon has announced that he is leaving the hit Fox show when his contract ends after the 2010 season.

He will judge and produce an American version of his British hit music show, The X Factor, on Fox in Fall 2011.

"Because of that this will be my last season on American Idol," he announced Monday at Fox's Winter Television Critics' Association press event at the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, Calif.

"I felt like doing something different," he explained. "I want to leave Idol this year bigger and better than it's been before."

As for rumors that former Idol judge Paula Abdul could serve as a judge on The X Factor, he said: "I adore Paula. Whatever happens with her, I will be working with her in some capacity because I miss her."

Former G-Unit rapper Lloyd Banks is being held by police in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, on assault and robbery charges after an incident involving a local promoter on Friday night. Authorities say that Banks and three others assaulted the promoter after the G-Unit member performed at Club NV in nearby Blandford late Friday night.

Sergeant Brad Finucan of the Waterloo Regional Police's Criminal Investigations branch reports that Banks (real name: Christopher Lloyd) and three associates got into a dispute with the promoter at a local hotel over payment for performance and an appearance fee. The promoter's name was withheld by police.

The promoter alleged that early Saturday morning the lyricist and three associates — Nicklas Sloane, Shawn McGee, and Tyrell Cooper — held him in his hotel room against his will, assaulted and robbed him. All four men were charged with forceful confinement, aggravated assault and robbery. The four made a video court appearance on Sunday afternoon (January 10) and are due to appear in court again early this week. They remained in police custody at press time.

Banks was last arrested on gun-possession charges in New York in August of 2005 after G-Unit's appearance during the Anger Management 3 tour at New York's Madison Square Garden. Young Buck, Banks and their entourages were traveling in a van when their vehicle was pulled over in Manhattan for allegedly running a red light. Upon inspection, two guns were found.
