Rapper Tony Yayo was arrested in New York on Saturday (March 25) afternoon on charges of harassment and endangering the welfare of a child.
Cynthia Reed — who, with Game's manager, Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond, is the parent of a 14-year-old boy — claims that her son is the injured party.
According to published reports, a close source revealed that the boy identified Yayo (real name: Marvin Bernard) to police as his attacker on Saturday, and that the incident was sparked by the boy wearing a T-shirt bearing the logo of Czar Entertainment, Rosemond's company. There has been a long-running conflict between Game and G-Unit since the two parties bitterly parted ways in 2005. The source also maintained that 50 Cent and other members of G-Unit were detained and questioned, but police would not comment; Reed released a statement late Saturday evening alleging 50 Cent's involvement.
