Bobby Brown, whose divorce from Whitney Houston became final in April, is back to his bachelor ways.
"I'm dating, so it's not like I'm single," Brown, 40, told PEOPLE mag at Stereo by the Shore in Southampton, N.Y. on Saturday. Asked whom he was dating, he replied, "My friend," and looked over at the woman holding his hand. A source at the club identified Brown's companion as Alicia Etheridge. She was formerly the president of the M. Gray Music Academy, Macy Gray's after-school music program.
"They were kissing in the car," says a source who observed the couple before they headed into the club, where besides his signature song Brown also performed "Every Little Step."

Days after being cited for driving under the influence, Lindsay Lohan has checked into rehab, her rep confirms. "Lindsay admitted herself to an intensive medical rehabilitation facility on Memorial Day," Lohan's publicist said in a statement Tuesday. This is the second time this year that the 20-year-old has been in a treatment facility. Her first stay, at the Wonderland Center in West Hollywood, started on Jan. 17.
In a nearly 900-word message, Britney Spears, 25, posted a letter on her website addressing such topics as her stint in rehab, the pressures she's under, the realizations she's made over the last year, and the blessings of having children.
"Recently, I was sent to a very humbling place called rehab. I truly hit rock bottom," she writes. "Till this day I don't think that it was alcohol or depression. I was like a bad kid running around with ADD [attention deficit disorder]."
"I am having to face a lot of things right now since I have children of my own. A lot of insecurities from when I was little are coming up again. It is like we are never good enough. "I know everyone thinks that I am playing the victim, but I am not and I hate what is going on right now so much. Maybe this is the reason for this letter ... to maybe allow people to look at me differently. It is like when you are a real woman and say what you feel and how you think things are supposed to be, that people just say you are a 'bitch.' "
Explaining her recent behavior, she says, "I think it is actually normal for a young girl to go out after a huge divorce. I think it was a bigger issue because I had not gone out in such a long time. I am 25 and I do still have a lot to learn, and I am going to make mistakes everyday, and I am sure every mistake I make will probably be on CNN or Good Morning America. I am only human people and I love you for still loving me."

According to the rumor mill, Trina and Wayne may have another go at their relationship.
Lindsay Lohan was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence early Saturday morning after her Mercedes convertible struck a curb on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. Police reported that they also found a substance they believe to be cocaine at the scene, according to an Associated Press report.
Lohan, 20, and two other unidentified people were in the actresses' 2005 Mercedes SL-65 when it crashed at around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday. It appeared she had been speeding and when police responded to a 911 call about the accident, the AP reported that officers found a "usable amount" of a drug they tentatively identified at the scene as cocaine. They would not say where the drug was found other than to confirm that Lohan was not carrying it.
Lohan was driven from the scene in a different car to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries; the other two people were not hurt.
Lohan was arrested at the hospital for investigation of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, then released when she was admitted for treatment.
Her tentative arraignment date is August 24.

This rumor or truth isn't even worth posting....but gossip monger Jawn Murry has reported that he has confirmed speculation about singer Solange Knowles' newly-single status.
The couple wed in a beach-front ceremony in the Bahamas in March of 2004 and Knowles gave birth to their son, Daniel Juelz Smith Jr, in October of that year.

Jessica Simpson and John Mayer have allegedly ended their romance. According to a PEOPLE source, "They have broken up,". "But they have broken up and gotten back together at least 10 times before." Despite the split to allegedly remain in constant contact. "They talk to each other at least six times a day. I don't know if this breakup is permanent, but for right now they are broken up." In fact, the pair have "been emailing and talking to each other," since Simpson went to Cannes, says a Simpson friend. "I'm sure they'll get back together." As for why the two singers split, a friend of Mayer's says, "John did say that he broke up [with Jessica]. He said that it was because he was just over it."
