NICK CANNON ENGAGED

Oh no....you know how I feel about these two...It's supposedly official. Nick Cannon and model Selita Ebanks are engaged.




He took her for a ride in a chauffeured Rolls-Royce Phantom to New York's Times Square — right across the street from the MTV offices — where "Selita, will you marry me?" appeared on the giant Jumbotron. Afterward, they celebrated with family and friends at a nightclub and ended the evening on a private jet back to L.A.

Here's the official statement from his publicist:

"Nick Cannon and Selita Ebanks are engaged to be married. The actorproposed to his Victoria Secret angel on one knee with a 12 carat diamond ring immediately after they left the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Gala where they were chauffeured in a Rolls Royce Phantom to Time Square. Projected on the giant MTV jumbo Ron were the words, "Selita will you marry me?" The happy coupleimmediately celebrated afterwards at Butter with Cannon surprising Ebanks by flying in his mother, both her parents and best friends into town. Guests including Marc Ecko, Tommy Hilfiger, Jacob the Jeweler, Zach Braff and Young Jeezy enjoyed red velvet cake, free flowing champagne, Budweiser Select’s specially-made drink for the evening “Nick’s Secret” and evian. The jet-setting couple left the party at 3am so that they could catch a private plane back to LA that Nick had charted so that he could make a 9am call time for his new film, American Son."
