On Thursday, the NJ Nets owner Bruce Ratner announced that the new 18,000-seat stadium designed by architect Frank Gehry in Brooklyn will be called The Barclays Center when it opens later this decade.
Nets stars Jason Kidd, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Nets minority owner and rapper Jay-Z attended the announcement at the Brooklyn Museum.
