Looks like Rihanna has just canceled her upcoming “comeback” concert in the United Arab Emirates.
Dubai-based Vibe Events Management Agency, which was planning the event, announced that Rihanna’s managers canceled her performance because “it is not the right time for her.”
Vibe said in a statement, “We want to share with you that Rihanna and her management will not be accepting to hold a public concert at this time as it is not appropriate timing for her.”
The gig, scheduled for May 28th, was expected to draw in over 20,000 fans. Vibe Events manager Leela McNamara said in a statement, “This is very sad for us that at this time the concert will not happen.”
But despite the cancellation, the event organizers are hopeful that they’ll be able to book Rihanna sometime in the future. McNamara added, “We will not give up.”
GV Says: Sounds like her team expected the Chris Breezy saga to be over by now. I did too.
